What are 5 types of Animation?
✅ Order Summary (Oldest → Newest):
Traditional → 2D Digital → Stop Motion → 3D Animation → Motion Graphics
Traditional Animation (2D Hand-Drawn)
Artists draw each frame by hand on paper or transparent sheets.
When the drawings are played quickly in sequence, they create movement.
Example: Old Disney movies like Cinderella
2D Digital Animation
Similar to traditional animation, but made on a computer using software.
Animators draw and move characters digitally instead of on paper.
Example: Modern cartoons like The Simpsons or Adventure Time.
Stop-Motion Animation
Uses real objects (like clay figures or puppets).
The objects are moved a tiny bit and photographed one frame at a time.
When the pictures are played in order, it looks like the objects are moving.
Example: Coraline or The Nightmare Before Christmas.
3D Animation
Made using computer software to create 3D models and environments.
The characters and objects look more realistic and can move in all directions.
Example: Pixar movies like Toy Story or Finding Nemo.
Motion Graphics
Focuses on moving text, shapes, and logos instead of characters.
Often used in advertisements, TV intros, and explainer videos.
Example: Animated logos or title sequences in movies.

Catch Me If You Can (2002)
The opening credits are a classic example of motion graphics — stylized, animated silhouettes and typography tell a story before the film even begins.
Iron Man series (2008–2013)
Famous for the motion graphics used in Tony Stark’s suit HUD (Head-Up Display) and computer interfaces — a major influence on modern sci-fi design.
The Avengers and other Marvel films
Feature extensive motion graphics for holograms, digital displays, and title sequences (e.g., Avengers: Endgame end credits)
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Uses bright, stylized on-screen text and graphics to complement its retro-futuristic look.
Tron: Legacy (2010)
A showcase of sleek, glowing motion graphics and digital environments.
Black Panther (2018)
Uses beautifully designed motion graphics in the technology of Wakanda and in the end credits.
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Incorporates minimalist motion graphics in futuristic screens and signage, adding to the film’s atmosphere.
Title Sequences: Opening/closing credits (e.g., Skyfall, Se7en).
Interface Design: Screens, holograms, and computers in sci-fi and spy films.
Information Graphics: Maps, data visualisations, or communication overlays (e.g., Mission: Impossible).
Stylised Visual Storytelling: Animated text or effects integrated with live action (Scott Pilgrim, Baby Driver).
