We all use digital devices in our daily life. Explore which ones you use and how interact with them.
Task 01: We use digital devices every day for various different purposes. What digital devices do you use daily? How?
Task 02: List pros and cons for each of these devices. How will these devices benefit and limit our lives? You could think about your personal experience and try to imagine those devices that you have never used.
Task 03: Answer the questions about devices are important to you.
Task 04: Look at the infographic and answer the two questions.
Extension Task: What new types of digital devices do you foresee becoming an integral part of daily life in the next 10 years? Describe their features and functionalities.

Task 01: Your task is to create a presentation on a specific area of research. You will need to find images and then produce an explanation of what the digital feature does. Use your knowledge of search engines to achieve this task. You will have two lessons to complete.
Option 1 - You are to research different types of devices (Desktop, laptop, mobile, smart devices), connectivity options (Wired (Ethernet), wireless (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)) and lifestyle applications (Entertainment, games, health and fitness, social media) and online transactions and services (Financial transactions, online services).
Option 2 - You are to research different types input devices (Keyboard, touchscreen, mouse, mousepad, scanner, microphone, camera), output devices (Monitor/screen, speaker, printer, camera) and online transactions and services (Financial transactions, online services).
Option 3 - You are to research different types of communication methods (Phone/video call, email, social media), different media types (Images, text, video, audio, streaming, livestreaming) and online transactions and services (Financial transactions, online services).

TASK 01: We use applications and programs on computers as a regular part of our daily routine. Which apps or programs do you use regularly? IDENTIFY and LIST them in the space provided.

TASK 01: Name and Logo:
Create a name for your Super App. How could it be catchy to attract customers?
Create three example logos for your Super App. How could you make it attractive for customers?
TASK 02: Colourful Icons:
Create three examples of an icon that your users will click on to access your software/app.
Include colorful icons for different features inspired by common applications. For example: A speech bubble for messaging, a globe for the web browser, a heart for social features, a pencil for creating fun content.

L.O. To IDENTIFY when there is a problem with a device or software and know the difference between system errors and user errors.
Task 01: In the table, LIST 5 common problems you have had with a computer and/or software. In the next column, write what you did to solve the problem.
Task 02: IDENTIFY solutions to the following troubleshooting scenarios, clearly indicating whether each scenario is a user error or a system error.
EXTENSION TASK: Your challenge is to design an interactive troubleshooting game that incorporates both user and system errors.
L.O. To DESIGN a poster that IDENTIFIES a problem and solution to when there is a problem with a device or software and know the difference between system errors and user errors.
Task 01: Following last lesson, take one of the problems/solutions that you discussed and create a poster that could help/highlight other users. Make sure that your poster includes:
Appropriate text
Suitable images (either photographs or illustrations).
Links to websites that may offer support.
Extension Task: If you have produced a poster for a user/system error, produce a poster for the either one that you haven't done.
Upload your final JPEG's on to the classroom. Use Photoshop to complete this task.
